Ideal Evaporated Milk is unsweetened full-cream milk with most of the water removed, giving it a thick, creamy body and a long shelf life without refrigeration until opened. It is the standard pour for tea, coffee and Milo, and it enriches koko, tom brown, oats and rice water. In cooking it thickens soups, sauces and stews, and it is the base for many Ghanaian desserts. Store unopened tins in a cool, dry place. Once opened, transfer to a covered container, refrigerate and use within three days.
