Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Afilago's website, apps, and services (together, the "Platform"). By creating an account, placing an order, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

Afilago is an online marketplace that connects buyers in Ghana with independent sellers offering electronics, fashion, home essentials, groceries, and more. Where a listing is fulfilled by a third-party seller, that seller is responsible for the accuracy of their listing and the quality of the item; Afilago facilitates the transaction, payment, and where applicable, delivery.

You need an account to place orders and track deliveries. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Please provide accurate information and keep it up to date so we can process and deliver your orders.

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to make a purchase.

All prices are shown in Ghana Cedis (₵) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We work to keep pricing and stock accurate, but listings can occasionally contain errors or sell out. If we discover a pricing or availability error after you order, we may cancel the affected order and refund you in full.

Placing an order is an offer to buy. Your order is confirmed once payment is successful and you receive an order confirmation. We may decline or cancel an order to prevent fraud, correct an error, or where an item cannot be supplied.

Payments are processed securely through our payment partner, Paystack. You can pay by Mobile Money (MTN, Telecel, AirtelTigo) or by credit or debit card. Afilago does not store your full card details. By paying, you confirm you are authorised to use the chosen payment method.

We deliver nationwide across Ghana. Delivery timelines depend on your location and the seller's dispatch time — most orders within Accra arrive in 1–3 business days, and other regions typically take 3–7 business days. Estimated times are not guaranteed. You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address and being reachable for hand-off.

You may request a return within 7 days of delivery for eligible items that are unused and in their original condition and packaging. To start a return, open the order in Your Orders and choose "Request Return". Certain items (for example perishables, personal-care goods, and made-to-order products) may not be returnable for health and safety reasons.

Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method. The time it takes to appear depends on your bank or Mobile Money provider.

You agree not to misuse the Platform — including attempting to defraud buyers or sellers, listing or purchasing prohibited or illegal items, interfering with the Platform's operation, or infringing anyone's rights. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or the law.

The Afilago name, logo, and Platform content are owned by Afilago or its licensors and are protected by law. Product images and descriptions may be owned by the respective sellers or brands. You may not copy, resell, or exploit any part of the Platform without permission.

The Platform is provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Afilago is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Platform. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under Ghana's consumer-protection laws.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate. Continuing to use the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
